:: Woodfibre-Plastic Composites (WPC) have been a main topic of discussion in years. They are extruded like PVC and can create ecological, constructive and economic advantages under certain conditions. Its advantage is high rigidity and low heat expansion for an adhesive. So far they are used mainly as outdoor ground storage (for example on a veranda or terrace) but now WPC being used more and more in the furniture and car industry.
A big disadvantage of the material is its low surface quality. Should WPC profiles be used in visible areas, coating is necessary.
Schwarz has focussed on this and developed special adhesives for PP-based and PVC-based WPC. PP-based is more popular, yet PVC-based can achieve an even better adhesion.
